Black bean Chili


What you'll need

EQUIPMENT:

  • 5 Gallon POT(T95 Engine compressor will work)

  • Cutting Board

  • Knife

INGREDIENTS:

PART 1

  • Olive Oil

  • 1 Red Onion

  • 1 Red Pepper

  • 1 Orange / Yellow Pepper

PART 2

  • 2 x 15 oz cans of black beans
    (Can substitute almost any canned beans)

  • 1 x 28oz can of Crushed Tomato s

  • 1 CUP Veggie/ Chicken/ Beef Broth

PART 3

  • 4 TABLESPOONS Chili powder

  • 1 TABLESPOON Cumin

  • 1/2 TABLESPOON Oregano







What to do

  1. Measure out the Spices and set aside

    • Chili powder (4 TABLESPOONS)

    • Cumin ( 1 TABLE SPOON)

    • Oregano (1/2 TABLE SPOON)

  2. Cover the bottom of a pan with oil

  3. Turn on heat MEDIUM HIGH

  4. DICE and add to POT

    • Onion

    • peppers

  5. COOK Veggies until soft 5 to 10 minutes

  6. OPEN The Cans of beans and Tomatoes and add to POT

  7. ADD the Spices from step 1

  8. Bring to a BOIL, then reduce heat to a SIMMER (LOW HEAT),

    • COVERED 30 minutes

  9. Remove from BURNER

  10. Turn OFF BURNER

  11. SERVE

TIPS:

You can serve this with :

  • Bread

  • Sour Cream

  • Cheese

  • Chopped red onion

  • Red pepper flakes (if more heat is desired)
