Apple Sauce

What you'll need

  • 5 Gallon POT(T95 Engine compressor will work)

  • Heating source.

  • Immersion Blender OR Potato Masher

  • RECOMMENDED: an Apple Slicer


  • 3 to 5 LBS of APPLES

    • I used golden delicious apples, but you can experiment with multiple types or apple blends

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 3 TABLESPOONS Apple cider vinegar

    • Can substitute lemon/lime juice

What to do

  1. Core the apples using an apple slicer or knife

  2. Discard apple core

  3. Cut the apple slices into 1-inch chunks

  4. Put the water in the POT

  5. Put the apples in the POT

  6. Put the apple cider vinegar in the POT

  7. Stir a few times to mix everything

  8. Heat the POT on HIGH until the water begins to boil

  9. Reduce heat to MEDIUM LOW

  10. Cover the POT

  11. Simmer for 20 minutes

  12. Turn Off heat

  13. Remove pot from heat

  14. Mash apples using potato masher until they look like a paste

    1. If apples are not soft, simmer another 10 minutes

    2. You can also use an immersion blender if that's easier

  15. Let cool 10 minutes

  16. SERVE.
